Magnetude Robotics is a educational STEM Program for High School students dedicated to making a great impact in their local communities through STEM outreach.
On October 11th, Magnetude Robotics participated in the annual STEAM-A-POOLOOZA again, engaging the community with an exciting display that lasted for 5 hours of STEM in action, garnering over 100+ attendees. The team proudly showcased their robot built for the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge, explaining its design, functionality, and capability while building it.
Magnetude Robotics hosted a booth where attendees of all ages could explore robotics, ask questions, and get inspired. From curious students to enthusiastic parents, everyone had the chance to see innovation up close and learn about the problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity involved in building competition robots.
The event was a wonderful opportunity for the team to share their passion for robotics, inspire young minds, expand community outreach and awareness for Magnetude Robotics, and demonstrate the real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and math.
On October 7th 2025, 11am-1pm, Magnetude Robotics held a special outreach event for a local elementary school! We held an engaging presentation on robotics and presented a STEM challenge to explore. In addition, we showed off our robot in action and reached the entire 1st grade and Kindergarten classes of Thomas Magnet School (135+ students).
Magnetude Robotics brought robots to Andrew Jackson Elementary for their STEM Night. Students were challenged to pick up and move pieces using the robots and their controllers. This exciting evening of discovery and learning helped 30+ local elementary students develop passions for STEM fields, especially for a niche field like robotics.
On March 22, 2025, Magnetude Robotics had an exciting presence at the Rutherford County STEM Fair, running multiple interactive booths over the course of 4 hours, and drew in a crowd of over 300 attendees! Designed to spark curiosity and creativity, the booths offered hands-on experiences for students and families alike.
Attendees at our booths had the chance to:
Test drive a robot
Build Super Skimmers
Construct marshmallow noodle towers
Play with oobleck
Examine fascinating specimens under microscropes
The event was a huge success, providing a fun, educational environment where students could explore science, technology, engineering, and math in action. We’re proud to be part of a growing movement to make STEM accessible, engaging, and inspiring for all!
On October 12, 2024, Magnetude Robotics proudly participated in the annual STEAM-A-POOLOOZA event — a 6-hour celebration of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Throughout the day, the team engaged with dozens of families from over 270 attendees of the event, sparking curiosity and excitement in the next generation of STEM learners.
One of the highlights? Teaching kids how to drive real robots, giving them a firsthand experience of engineering in action. The team's enthusiasm was contagious — one inspired parent even asked how they could purchase a robotics kit to support their child’s new interest at home.
Events like this reinforce Magnetude Robotics’ commitment to community outreach and making STEM accessible, hands-on, and fun for all ages.
One of our very own team members, Isabella Tan, was selected to work with the Robot Drone League (RDL) to share her journey into STEM. As part of RDL's mission to encourage robotics engagement nationwide, Isabella recorded a video highlighting how she discovered her passion for robotics — and how teams like Magnetude Robotics helped her grow as a student and leader.
Magnetude Robotics is proud to be part of a movement that goes beyond competitions: inspiring, educating, and building the future of STEM.
In 2023, Magnetude Robotics proudly attended STEAM-A-POOLOOZA, bringing STEM experiences to students and families in the community. Over the course of the event with 220+ attendees, the team introduced kids to the world of robotics through robot demonstrations and driving practice.
Magnetude Robotics participated in the local ScareCrow event challenge at the nearby Main Street at Murfreesboro event! Their scarecrow stayed at Joanies, a local restaurant. Although they did not place, they had plenty of fun designing and engineering the scarecrow.
From brainstorming ideas to building the final design, this event gave the team a chance to explore artistic expression through engineering, proving that STEM and creativity go hand in hand. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community and showcase the team’s versatility beyond robotics.
Magnetude Robotics rolled up their sleeves and hosted a fundraiser selling cotton candy at their school, Central Magnet's semiannual celebration, Pig Out! In preparation, team members met after school and made colorful jars of cotton candy for over 3 hours.
The fundraiser not only helped raise money to support future team activities and competitions, but also allowed the team to connect with the school community and share their passion for robotics in a fun, approachable way.
